Researching a new portraiture project and having been delving into painting... I went took a book out on Hungarian born artist
Philip de Laszlo (1869-1937) and anyone with an interest in documentary or portraiture should really check out his work, his portraits are just stunning. Below is my favourite and is titled 'Falling Leaves' (1865), it bears many similarities to the work of one of my favourite photographers
William Abronowicz and his large format work from Greece's olive groves pictured below.
