Arms Fair for Monocle

Last month I was commissioned by the Monocle to go and photograph the DSEi Arms Fair at the London Excel centre. Security was very tight, and I had to go through a series of vetting processes in order to get my media badge.

To sum it up, the arms fair is a boys dream. Tanks, planes, warships, machine guns, rocket launchers and more all under one very large roof. There were also live demos where you could watch gun battles and explosions going off from the comfort of a seating stand, with running commentary of course. I even had a go on a firing range on a break... Essentially it's a military trade show, attended by those working in defence, and probably the next Gaddafi's also.
